Give your plated desserts an organic, forest-floor look with the Roots Tuile Mold. A dense central hub splits into hundreds of fine, forking roots that fan out to a ragged circular edge, so each bake gives a single large lace disc with real visual drama. It comes in two formats: a single mat for one large tuile, or a 2-cavity mat that bakes two smaller tuiles at once.
Because the fine roots are thin, a smooth, well-rested batter works best. A classic butter tuile bakes to a pale gold, while a batter coloured with cocoa, matcha or beetroot or fruit powder gives deeper, earthier tones. Sesame or almond tuile batters add a nutty crunch and a rustic speckle. While the tuile is still warm and pliable, it can be draped over a rolling pin or bowl for a gently domed crown.
The Roots tuile suits autumn menus, mushroom and chocolate desserts, vegetable-led tasting plates and anything inspired by the forest. Stand it upright in a mousse, lay it flat over ice cream, or crown a cocktail coupe with it. As with all Quick3D Silicone pieces, the Roots Tuile Mold begins as a precision 3D-printed master before being cast in food-grade platinum silicone for fine, repeatable detail. Custom tuile designs are available on request, with low minimum order quantities for bakeries, chocolatiers and F&B brands.
